I like the open top because is keeps everything in plain sight and gives easy access. I bought this for a friend for Christmas but I also have one. They are great for storing and toting a large variety for tools. Lots of pockets, both inside and out keep everything organized. The shoulder strap and the center handle a both padded for comfort.
I have tried almost every type of tool carrier and I have always been disappointed. I just bought this bag along with an identical electrition's bag. I have never been of pleased with a tool storage system. This bag holds everything and I can find everything quickly. I'm selling all of my old tool boxes and bags and getting more from this manufacturer.
I own this and use it often. But it maintains its shape when the load lightens. It replaced a bucket toolbox that was cumbersome and ugly. My only complaint with this item is the rigid handle seems to bend too much with ultra-heavy loads. This is the bag I use for tools and have not found anything better yet. But I am still looking.
